Welcome to the Fresh Ideas - Shaping Rotorua project.
Fresh ideas is the name of the Rotorua District Plan Review Project. Every Council has a district plan, which must be reviewed every ten years. The existing district plan was one of the first to be prepared under the Resource Management Act. It is now time to replace it with a new one. The Fresh Ideas project has been going since November 2007, and there has been some significant consultation completed since then. We have sent out feedback forms throughout the district and to all our ratepayers who live elsewhere in the country.
Here you can view our newsletter library , which has all previous issues including our latest fifth newsletter. You can also source the issues paper, which outlines a whole host of issues raised by you. If you would like to receive a newsletter by email you can email us at info@fresh-ideas.co.nz. Any further inquiries give us a call at 07 348 4199 and ask for the planning team.
The first of the district plan chapters - District overview and issues - is available for public comment by clicking on the pdf icon below. You will also find links to the eastern and western structure plan, submission summary and version two of the issues paper. You will need adobe acrobat reader to view them.
